CHASE THE TASTE
Whether you’re a casual mobile gamer or a console warrior, you know video games and snacking go together real bad, so when Fanta asked us to develop a global toolkit for their collab with Pac-Man (the most influential arcade game of all time, no biggie), we knew we had to put on for 90s kids everywhere. This campaign invited players everywhere on a global super mission to #ChaseTheTaste and discover flavor-packed experiences locally-translated in their region. Here’s how we did it:

I tapped my genius bro Brandon to compose an ‘8-bit’ style reference track marrying the iconic Wanta Fanta jingle with classic Pac-Man SFX.
Fire already. Then we gave that track to the award-wining sound studio Tempest to freak it with a modern global-influence and official samples. Wouldya believe our Brazilian clients never heard the iconic 90s Fanta Jingle before? Now it’s everywhere again.

We fleshed out 130-page toolkit broken out into 2 phases complete with limited-edition packaging, brand new Fanta-fied game characters, custom skins, IRL experiences, PR ideas, influencers, social filters, and much more — plus 2 commercials get fans hyped for what was to come. Our MANIA! story played up the partnership, while our PLAY! story invited gamers in on the action with our mobile app game. Shoutout to Ceci btw — we specifically searched for diverse talent, because girls got game too.

The first region to drop was LATAM at Brazil Comicon December 23’, kicking off in the most Fanta way possible with an IRL game where fans could play as Pac-Man OR Ghost for a tasty twist. Then it got even bigger in Mexico April ‘24 before moving on to Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America 🎮
